Medical Education

Instructions/Expectations

 

  • Arrive in the office at 7:30 am
  • Follow your program's dress code policy
  • Bring your laptop if you have one, though it is not a requirement for this elective
  • You must bring a flash drive everyday
  • Always bring something to study
  • You will be given daily assignments to complete as part of your education, including board review or journal articles
  • Bring your white coat, stethescope, a portable drug reference guide, spiral notebook for notetaking, and a supply of pens
  • If there are any local sports coverage opportunities you will be required to attend, which can include weekend or night events
  • You will be expected to attend sports coverage of events at SDSU, Cal State San Marcos, or any mass-participation sports events in San Diego when held; keep this in mind when choosing where to live during your elective
  • If there are any medical education lectures you will be required to attend them
  • For Osteopathic Medical Students or Resident Physicians: you must have and be able to demonstrate basic OMT skills
